چکیده

Objective: To evaluate the performance of three scores, Pediatric Index Mortality 3 (PIM-3), Logistic Organ Dysfunction 2 (PELOD-2), and modified PELOD-2 in predicting mortality multiple organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS) children Vietnam.Material Methods: This cross-sectional study MODS admitted to pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) a central children’s hospital Mekong Delta, Vietnam, was undertaken from April 2019 June 2021. All scores were evaluated using receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves for discrimination Hosmer-Lemeshow goodness-of-fit test calibration. Results: Of eighty-four subjects, median age 24.5 months overall rate 63.1%. ROC curve analysis showed that area under PIM-3, PELOD-2, death 0.77, 0.89, respectively. With individual cut-offs, had sensitivities 81.1%, 79.2%, respectively, specificities 61.3%, 87.1%, 80.6%, performed well test, indicating high calibration between predicted observed mortalities (PIM-3: χ²=4.36, p-value=0.823; PELOD-2: χ²=4.837, p-value=0.775; χ²=6.082, p-value=0.638).Conclusion: The better prognosis than PIM-3 score. Compared with fewer parameters can still predict Vietnamese when cut-off score ≥9.

Validation of the PELOD score for multiple organ dysfunction in children.

We conducted a prospective study to identify the children having multiple organ dysfunction at admission using the PELOD score, and its impact on the mortality in a pediatric intensive care unit of a tertiary care hospital in north India over a 13 month period. Data were collected in a predesigned collection sheet and the PELOD score was calculated. 209 patients were admitted. In 37.2% primary ...

Daily estimation of the severity of multiple organ dysfunction syndrome in critically ill children.

BACKGROUND Daily evaluation of multiple organ dysfunction syndrome has been performed in critically ill adults. We evaluated the clinical course of multiple organ dysfunction over time in critically ill children using the Pediatric Logistic Organ Dysfunction (PELOD) score and determined the optimal days for measuring scores. METHODS We prospectively measured daily PELOD scores and calculated ...
